Pool decks take a beating. Between constant splash-out, bare feet tracking in sunscreen and grass, and months of weather sitting on the surface - the buildup gets serious. Stamped concrete especially tends to trap grime in all those texture grooves, and once it darkens, the whole backyard starts to look worn out.

That's exactly what we were working with here. The stamped concrete around this pool had gone from its original warm tan tone to a dingy, dark, muddy-looking surface. The pattern was still there, but you couldn't really appreciate it under all that buildup.

We came in and did a full pool deck cleaning - working the entire surface edge-to-edge, following the curves of the deck right up to the pool coping. Stamped concrete needs a careful touch. Too aggressive and you risk lifting the surface. The goal is pulling the embedded grime out of those textured grooves without doing any damage. That's exactly what we did.

What you end up with is the color and texture the homeowner paid for when that concrete was installed - not a dull, dark version of it. A clean deck like this one doesn't just look better. It feels better underfoot, it reflects heat differently on a hot day, and it makes everything around it - the water, the landscaping, the whole yard - look sharper.

Pool decks are one of those surfaces that really benefit from a regular cleaning routine. The longer the buildup sits, the harder it is to fully remove. Staying ahead of it keeps the surface looking great and helps protect the concrete long-term.
