Brick entrances are one of those things that collect grime so gradually you stop noticing it. Moss creeps in along the mortar lines. Algae starts turning the steps green. The whole front of the house just starts to look tired - even if everything else is in great shape.

That's exactly what we were dealing with here. The steps and landing were covered in thick moss and biological buildup. The brick itself was still solid - good bones on this property - but years of exposure had taken the edge off what used to be a really sharp entrance.

The key with brick is using the right pressure and technique. Too aggressive and you risk damaging the mortar. Not aggressive enough and you're just moving surface dirt around. We dial in the approach based on the brick type and condition so the clean goes deep without causing any harm to the surface.

What you end up with is brick that looks like it was always supposed to look that way. The natural color comes back. The texture comes back. It doesn't look pressure washed - it just looks clean and well-kept. That's the goal on every job like this.

Entryways take the most foot traffic, face the most weather exposure, and are the first thing anyone sees when they pull up to your home. Keeping them clean is one of the simplest ways to protect both the look and the longevity of the exterior. We take that seriously on every job.
